The image was taken during the farmers' protest organized by Bhartiya Kisan Union in October 2018. This image was of the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border on Ghazipur when the water cannons were used against farmers. 
Police are using water cannons and tear gas in the current farmers' protest, but the viral photos shown above are of farmers' protest organized in 2018.
Thousands of farmers from several states started marching towards Delhi on Wednesday as part of their 'Dilli Chalo' protest. Visuals showed farmers atop tractors and trucks, stocked with supplies, as they proceeded towards Delhi undeterred by barricades, teargas shelling, baton-charging, and water cannons.
