Social media is abuzz about a boxing match featuring former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson who came out of retirement to fight at the age of 54.

Mike Tyson had not fought for 15 years until November 28, when he came out of retirement at the age of 54 to fight Roy Jones, Jr. in Los Angeles. According to Foxnews.com, the fight went the full eight rounds at the Staples Center in a matchup that wouldn’t be charged to their official records. 

According to USAToday.com, Tyson entered the ring with his signature attire — no socks, black trunks and draped with a towel rather than a robe. Before the fight began, Tyson appeared to be blinking back tears. It was clearly an emotional moment as he prepared to fight for the first time in 15 years. The fight was scored as a draw between the two. 

Mike Tyson admitted to smoking marajuana right before the fight. Mike Tyson said he now uses weed as part of his everyday life. 

The claims are true. At the age of 54, Mike Tyson came out of a long retirement to box again.
