Misbar’s Analysis

The Misbar team has determined that the claim is false. While the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere is December 21, which means that there is less sunlight than a typical day, it is still sunny in parts of the world. In fact, below is the current forecast for San Diego, California:

There are no known reports of total darkness anywhere in the world – but more importantly, there are no reports of NASA claiming that this will be the case and nothing on their Twitter page to indicate as such. We rate the claim as false.
