Misbar’s Analysis

Since the end of December 2020, the White House has been preparing for the inauguration of President-Elect Joe Biden, by assembling viewing stands using numerous construction materials. However, amidst concerns of COVID-19 spreading, Biden opted to have a minimalist inauguration plan with no crowds. Construction crews, therefore, began dismantling the large viewing stands made with plywood that had been erected on the White House grounds. They were seen removing and transporting the plywood using forklifts and trucks.

Furthermore, while the video showing the “coffin” is grainy it can still be concluded that the items on the forklift are most likely construction material. After Misbar sharpened a still shot of the video, it reveals that the sides are not uniform as a coffin would be, but rather at different lengths similar to stacked plywood, as captured in the images of the construction workers at the White House.

Misbar's team concludes that given the surrounding context of the socially distanced presidential inauguration, leading to the dismantling of some erected structures at the White House indicates that the transported item is more likely plywood rather than a “coffin” as speculated by Twitter users.
