The Claim

Chelsea Clinton tweeted, "It’s so wrong of Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone to deny President Biden and Speaker Pelosi Holy Communion because they support a woman’s God given right to choose. If Jesus were alive today he’d be working at Planned Parenthood. Read your Bible Father."

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar’s investigation found that the tweet is fake. We looked at Chelsea Clinton’s Twitter page and found that there is no evidence of her writing such a tweet.

The alleged tweet seems to reference an open letter called, “Before I Formed You in the Womb I Knew You: A Pastoral Letter on the Human Dignity of the Unborn, Holy Communion, and Catholics in Public Life,” published by Archbishop Joseph Cordileone on May 1. In the letter, Cordileone says that pro-choice Catholics should not be able to receive communion.
