Social media users are circulating a collection of photos and videos, claiming that they show the Chinese rocket falling in India, killing thousands. Other users shared videos claiming it shows the Chinese rocket in Palestine and Iraq Skies.

Misbar’s Analysis

None of the images circulating are related to the Chinese rocket. The viral photo belongs to fires that occurred in previous years in different countries. Also, there were no victims from the Chinese rocket.

 The photo users alleged to be in India was found on Getty Images depicting fires in Kuwait in April 2012.

This image published on the Lehighvalleylive website on April 27, 2011, was found in an article reporting an explosion at the former Spectra Gas facility in Alpha, New Jersey.
