Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar’s investigation revealed that the sign was not posted by Popeye’s management. St. Louis news station KMOV4 reported that the police had investigated the incident, as Popeye’s management denied involvement in posting the sign. Security footage was used to verify that the person responsible was neither part of management nor an employee of Popeye’s.

Racial issues in the United States are often magnified by social media. In this case the Popeye’s in question was forced to close for an entire day due to the traffic and reported “backlash” because of the sign.
