Misbar’s Analysis

The mysterious street artist Banksy has been for many a source of great intrigue. However, despite the enigma surrounding his art, it is certain that the NFT (non-fungible token) posted to his site was done by a hacker called gaakmann. The NFT, called “Great Redistribution of the Climate Change Disaster,” was purchased by a collector – ironically using the username Pranksy. The collector paid $335,500 in Ethereum for the NFT.

The seller went on to return the money minus a transaction fee, leading many to speculate that it was an ethical hacker trying to point out issues in the digital art realm.
