Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar has investigated the claim and found it to be fake.

According to the video, anti-vaccine activist, Christopher Keys says, "The antidote that we've seen now, and we have tons and tons of research, is urine therapy."

One of the posts sharing the video of Christopher Keys claims that “after being arrested for not wearing a mask in a courtroom, after being released, Christopher Keys has come out and said they have the antidote urine therapy.”

Our team used keywords in Google Search but found no evidence that drinking urine can be effective against the COVID-19 virus. However, we found the Food and Drug Administration’s lists of approved treatment options for COVID-19, and they did not mention urine on it.

Drinking urine or Urine Therapy existed in some cultures where people consumed their urine for religious or medical purposes. Experts have mentioned that drinking urine is not advisable since it can introduce bacteria, toxins, and medications into the body. They added that “there is no reason to think that drinking urine would benefit the health in any way.”

Medical experts confirmed that “there are no clear health benefits associated with drinking urine. Urine is waste, which means that it contains things that the body does not need or that may be harmful.”
