The circulating video was created using CGI purification, which is a three-dimensional graphics generated by advanced computer programs and used in films, videogames, and television shows. The video was previously published on July 27, 2021, by an account specialized in designing this type of video.

According to NASA, the American astronaut mentioned in the claim, Michael Collins, died in April 2021 at the age of 90 after a long battle with cancer.
