Since 2014, social media users have been circulating a photo claiming to be of a Canadian family whose members have converted to Islam.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating photo and found the claim to be misleading. Media outlets have previously published the photo in 2012; it shows an Albino Pakistani family living in Coventry, England.
In May 2021, the family was added to the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest family with several Albino members.
Albinism is a genetic illness due to which the body is unable to produce Melanin, the pigment that gives color to skin, eyes, and hair. The condition also commonly induces eysight problems.
