An image purporting to show the moon as a basketball went viral recently. Twitter users claim the picture depicts the real-life moon captured from an angle that made it look like a basketball.

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar has investigated the claim and found it to be fake. The image was digitally altered to add the moon to the original image.
