Camille Vasquez Denies Rumors of Dating Johnny Depp

The attorney Camille Vasquez, who was led the team that was defending the American actor Johnny Depp in his defamation case against his Ex-Wife Amber Heard, previously denied the rumors of dating her client.

In an interview with “People,” the attorney explained: “I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job.” She added, “It's disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny—who is a friend and I've known and represented for four-and-a-half years now—that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That's disappointing to hear.” Vasquez also noted that it is “unethical for us to date our clients. It's also an unethical charge being made. It's sexist. It's unfortunate and it's disappointing, but at the same time it kind of comes with the territory. I can't say I was all that surprised.”

Furthermore, no reliable sources have dug up the rumors. 

Is Johnny Depp Dating his Former Lawyer?

Contrary to claims that Johnny Depp is dating Camille Vasquez, several media outlets are confirming that the actor is dating another former lawyer called Joelle Rich, an attorney who represented him in his U.K. libel trial against “The Sun.” 

The celebrity news magazine “Pagesix” had confirmed the rumors.

Who is Joelle Rich?

Joelle Rich is an award-winning attorney. She received the “Silver Award” for the Future “Leader Initiative of the Year” at the “Citywealth Future Leaders 2021 awards,” and was shortlisted for the “Future Leader in Private Client Services” by “Spear’s Wealth Management Awards” in 2021. The attorney represented Depp in a previous trial and has shown him support during the defamation trial against Amber Heard. 

Up till the time of publishing this fact-check, neither Depp nor Rich have addressed the rumors.
