The video was edited to include the sound.

Although we were unable to confirm whether the footage is related to the World Cup, we can confirm that the video was edited to include sound.

The music is taken from YouTube shorts and Instagram reels of crowds singing "Calm Down" for Rema. 

The video first appeared online in August 2022.

Who Is Rema?

Rema, or Divine Ikubor, is a Nigerian singer and rapper. He made a career with his song “Iron Man,” which appeared on Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist. 

He is well known for his song “Calm Down,” released on February 11, 2022. This single title has over 28 million views on YouTube and has become the most-played music in radio airplay.

World Cup Qatar 2022

The claim circulates as Qatar hosts the FIFA World Cup 2022 for the first time in an Arab country with the participation of 32 football teams from all nations. 

The tournament, which began on November 20, will last until December 18.
