The video is old and does not show the Dutch coach Louis van Gaal encouraging the Moroccan team recently during the World Cup Qatar 2022.

2018 Video of Van Gaal Surfaced

The clip dates back to 2018 when Ronald Koeman was Netherlands’ official coach and not van Gaal.

The video was posted online on June 13, 2018, and shows Louis van Gaal wishing the Moroccan team success during the tournament’s 21st edition in Russia.

The claim surfaced after the Moroccan national team booked its ticket for the semi-finals of the 22nd edition of the World Cup held in Qatar as the first Arab football team to reach this decisive stage of the tournament. The Atlas Lions won 1-0 over the Portuguese national team in a match held at Al-Thumama Stadium in Qatar on December 10.
