Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be misleading, as the video is outdated and does not show Pep Guardiola refusing to shake hands with an Israeli leader during the celebration of winning the Premier League title.

Guardiola Snubs Alan Smith Handshake

The video dates back to August 2023, capturing the moment when Guardiola ignored Alan Smith, the former Crystal Palace coach, during the medal ceremony at Wembley Stadium after Manchester City's defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield match.

The English media stated that Guardiola blatantly snubbed Alan Smith while shaking hands with senior officials on the medal distribution platform, with no explanation given for this disregard.

Returning to other photos of Alan Smith, it becomes clear that he is indeed the person whom Guardiola ignored during the medal distribution.

Manchester City Loses Community Shield Trophy

On August 6, 2023, at Wembley Stadium in London, Arsenal won the English Community Shield Cup after defeating Manchester City on penalties following a 1-1 draw between the two teams.

Maria has consistently shown her support for the Palestinian people, whether through her personal social media accounts or by actively participating in demonstrations advocating for an end to the war on Gaza.

It is noteworthy that Manchester City lost on Saturday, to Manchester United in the FA Cup final for this season. The latter emerged victorious with a score of 2-1 in the final match, which took place at Wembley Stadium in London.
