Outdated Video of Netanyahu Whistling Is Unrelated to the Pager Attack on Lebanon

Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be misleading. The video dates back to 2021 and does not show Netanyahu celebrating after the targeting of pagers in various areas of Lebanon.

Benjamin Netanyahu posted the video on TikTok in March 2021 with the caption: 'Did you recognize the song?'

Israeli media outlets that shared the video at the time revealed that Netanyahu was whistling the melody of the Likud party's anthem.

Bombing of Hezbollah Members’ Pagers

The video began circulating after the bombing of pagers used by Hezbollah members in the southern suburbs of Beirut and in the southern and Bekaa Valley regions, resulting in casualties and hundreds of injuries.

A spokesperson for the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the number of victims from the pager explosions in Lebanon has exceeded 10, while more than 4,000 people have been injured, with 400 in critical condition.

The Lebanese government condemned what it described as 'Israeli criminal aggression, which constitutes a severe violation of Lebanese sovereignty and is a crime by any measure.'

The Lebanese Cabinet stated that the government immediately began making necessary contacts with relevant countries and the United Nations.

Hezbollah Blames Israel for Pager Explosions

In a statement, Lebanese Hezbollah said, "Israel is responsible. After reviewing all the facts, current data, and available information about today's heinous attack, we hold the Israeli enemy fully accountable for this criminal aggression, which also targeted civilians."
