Israeli Military Expanded It Attack on Southwestern Lebanon

The circulation of the claim came after the Israeli military announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its activities against the militant group Hezbollah.

In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the military reported that Monday saw the 146th Division launch targeted operations aimed at Hezbollah's infrastructure and terror-related assets in the region. This announcement follows Israeli airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, where a senior Hezbollah official responsible for budgeting and logistics was reportedly killed.

Additionally, the Israeli Forces have enacted a naval blockade extending 60 kilometers (37 miles) along Lebanon's southern coast, advising civilians that visiting beaches or venturing out to sea poses a "life-threatening" risk until further notice.

Hezbollah Endorses Ceasefire Efforts in Lebanon Without Conditions on Gaza

Hezbollah's top official announced on Tuesday that the group supports initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Lebanon, marking the first instance of public endorsement for a truce that is not contingent upon halting the conflict in Gaza.

Deputy Secretary General Naim Qassem stated, “We back the political efforts led by (Parliament Speaker Nabih) Berri to establish a ceasefire. Once the ceasefire is firmly in place and diplomatic channels are open, all other matters will be addressed and decisions made collaboratively.”

Previously, Hezbollah had maintained that it would only stop its assaults on Israel once a ceasefire was established with Hamas. However, Israel has insisted that Hezbollah must separate its conflict with Israel from the ongoing war in Gaza.
