Social media users and pages have circulated posts claiming Ivanka Trump has submitted misleading financial statements to Deutsche Bank during her time as the primary contact for the Trump organization.
The New York state’s Attorney General Letitia James announced recently that the investigation into former President Donald Trump’s business has led to “significant evidence” suggesting fraudulent or misleading asset valuations to get loans and tax benefits.
Letitia James has stated in court filings, following her investigation, that she found instances where Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. provided misleading representations to financial institutions and banks. And according to the court filing, Donald Trump had ultimate authority over the Trump Organization involving misstatements to financial institutions and other counterparts.
The court insisted on questioning Trump and his two eldest children. Letitia James said that “each of the individuals was directly involved in one or more transactions under review.” She also added that “earlier this month, the Trumps filed a motion to quash these interviews.”
According to Dailymail, Ivanka Trump was spotted, with her family leaving their Miami condominium on Wednesday “with their luggage” hours after a court document filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The court revealed that Ivanka Trump bought a luxury NYC apartment from the Trump Organization for a third of the value listed on the company financial statements.
Investigators have also recently developed “significant additional evidence indicating that the Trump Organization used fraudulent or misleading asset valuations to obtain a host of economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions.”
Letitia James can not file criminal charges because her probe is civil, although she can sue Trump and his children and the company. On the other side, the Trump Organization stated that it will defend against James' baseless accusations and accused her of twisting the facts and “misleading the public because she faces the stark reality that she has no case.”
