In recent days, there have been reports of three unidentified flying objects (UFOs) being shot down over North America. The incidents occurred over Alaska, Canada, and Michigan, and have led to a lot of speculation about what these objects are and where they came from.

Military officials are investigating the incidents, but at this point, there are more questions than answers.

The latest object was first spotted over Montana. Military officials detected a radar blip, but it disappeared, leading them to believe that it was an anomaly.

On Sunday, another blip appeared over Montana, then Wisconsin, and Michigan. Once military officials obtained visual confirmation, they ordered an F-16 to shoot it down over Lake Huron.

What Are These UFOs Over North America?

At this point, the U.S. and Canadian military officials do not know what the UFOs are. They have ruled out some possibilities, but they have not confirmed any hypothesis.

Military officials said they are reviewing videos and other sensor readings collected by the American pilots who observed the objects before their destruction. However, the exact nature of the objects, where they are from and what they were intended for will not be confirmed until the FBI and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have the chance to thoroughly examine the debris, officials said.

Misinformation About UFOs in North America

Misinformation about UFOs has also become prevalent lately.

A viral video on social media was purported to show President Joe Biden announcing that the unidentified flying objects (UFOs) seen in North American airspace in February are “visitors of extra-terrestrial nature.” The video went viral especially among French social media users.

Misbar’s team found the video to be fake, no original video was found with the same speech. Quite the contrary, the White House announced there was no indication of “aliens or extra-terrestrial activity.”

Sky Deutschland Star Wars Video

In another instance of misinformation, a promotional video created by German media company Sky Deutschland for Star Wars in 2014 is being shared online with the false claim that it shows a downed UFO in Alaska in February 2023.

The viral video appears to show dashcam footage of a crashed aircraft on a highway, with individuals dressed as stormtroopers seen walking around. The video was created as a promotion for the special programming of the Star Wars franchise in 2014.

Misbar’s team has also noticed that the recent massive earthquake in Turkey and Syria has triggered the spread of conspiracy theories alleging that the tragedy was caused by extra-terrestrial intervention.

The bogus claims are nothing more than unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.
