Pulkit, a Twitter user, shared the video that went viral accusing Ronaldo of having a low self-esteem.
The tweet’s caption reads, “Why is Ronaldo getting triggered by Messi chants when he calls himself the best player in front of the mirror everyday? That also by Al-Ittihad fans?”

Misbar searched online for video clips that were shot during the match and found that the circulating video had been tampered with. The original video has a different audio.
The original video does not contain Messi’s chant in the background, it contains fans' Arabic chants of their favorite teams.
Wivo, one of the original video's publishers, commented: “The thing I was worried about the most is that the man forgets [will be forgotten] when he goes to Saudi Arabia, but the obsession with the pages of those who are mentally retarded will make him live forever.”
Another video shot from another angle of the same scene features Ronaldo’s anger towards the match’s controversial Spanish referee Mateu Lahoz.
According to the video’s publisher, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his dismay with the referee because he kept disrupting the game and wasting time.
