Israel Exploits Son’s Reassurance to His Mother, Accusing Him of Faking His Injury
Israel promotes that the Palestinians are fabricating scenes of victims (X)

Once again, Israeli propaganda is accusing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip of fabricating casualties and promoting a non-existing tragedy. These accusations, tagged under #Paliwood by Israeli accounts, insinuating that Palestinians fake their suffering and fabricate images of victims and injured people. Israeli pages continue to publish these claims despite the fact that there are over 11.300 Palestinians killed by Israeli bombings on Gaza, including over 4000 children, in addition to over 30.000 injured people since the Israeli war on Gaza began, following the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7.

The latest Israeli accusation involves the use of images showing an injured Palestinian man surrounded by people trying to reassure his mother that his wounds are not serious, urging her to worry or be scared. In the video, they push aside the bandage on his head to show that the injury is not severe. Israeli accounts took this video and promoted it as a scenario where a Palestinian mother rushed to a hospital upon learning of her son's injury, only to discover that he was doing well, portraying it as a farce.

The scene depicts a young man with various injuries, his ripped clothes and his form indicate that he was in a location bombed by Israel. People around him are shown trying to convince his mother that the wounds are superficial and that his life is not in danger.

Israeli Propaganda Accuses Palestinians of Faking Their Deaths

Israel, along its officials, supporters, and media outlets, persistently accuses Palestinians of deceit. One of the recent accusations stemmed from a comment made by Ofir Gendelman, the Israeli prime minister spokesman, regarding a video from the Indonesian hospital. Gendelman claimed the the video shows the hospital has electricity, contrary to the claim made by the medical staff that it had been entirely cut off.

However, Misbar refuted Gendelman’s claim in an article published on Monday, November 14. The article presented evidence that the hospital is currently facing a complete electricity outage. It clarified that the faint lights visible in some windows were actually battery-powered lamps utilized to illuminate the hospital's hallways. Misbar obtained images from inside the hospital, provided by Dr. Essam Nabhan, the head of the nursing department. These images showed that the hospital is currently facing a complete electricity outage.

Misbar Follows the Misleading Campaign Claiming Palestinians Fabricate Victim Images

Since the onset of the Israeli war on Gaza, Misbar has analyzed numerous claims circulated by Israeli accounts, alleging that Palestinians fabricate images of victims. One such claim involved a video purportedly depicting corpses moving within shrouds. However, Misbar revealed that the video dated back to 2013, showcasing a reenactment of the Rabaa sit-in Egypt by a group of young people from Al-Azhar university.

Another video, promoted by Israeli accounts as evidence of a moving corpse inside a shroud, underwent analysis by Misbar. The examination of the footage revealed that while the head of the supposed corpse appeared to move, it was a misleading interpretation. In fact, the body did not move, but the young man next to it was moving parts of the shroud which led to the head moving slightly and it appeared as though the corpse was moving. This effect occurred due to the traditional method of tying the shroud in five places, known as 'the shroud bind,' commonly practiced in funeral traditions."

As part of the same misleading campaign, Israeli activist Edy Cohen published images of the corpse of a young man moving in a shroud. However, Misbar revealed that the corpse was not of a Palestinian man, and the images were actually taken from a training session in Malaysia aimed at organizing and managing funerals.

This Israeli misleading campaign is part of a larger propaganda operation. Israel endeavors to propagate the notion that it avoids targeting civilians in Gaza, dismissing victim images as fabricated and fake. Despite this narrative, media outlets, activists, and medical staff have published thousands of images and videos documenting the Israeli massacres of civilians in different parts of the Gaza strip.
