A video surfaced on social media alleging to show actor Robert De Niro confronting a group of pro-Palestine demonstrators in New York City.

Versions of the video featured a banner proclaiming "Robert De Niro Stands with Israel" and a caption suggesting he referenced Hamas's 7 October Operation on Israel, cautioning, "They are going to do it again! Again! You don't want that."

The actor was displayed saying, “This is not a movie. This is real. Right now you gotta listen, you gotta work, you gotta get your job done. Stand by all your support [...] like you talking nonsense then you gotta go home. [...] They are going to do it again! Again! You don't want that. None of us want that. Come on! Let's all get serious.”

De Niro's statements were manipulated through editing, incorporating various captions to imply that the actor was discussing Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7.
