This Photo Was Not in Idlib
The Claim
A picture shows a child kissing another child killed during the shelling of Idlib city.

A photo showing a child kissing another child was shared in multiple Posts on Facebook and Twitter alongside a claim the photo was taken in Idlib during the attack on Northwestern Syria that began in December 2019.
The photo was also shared by Ward Najjar, who works for Syrian opposition-owned media network, Tele Orient, during the attack that was launched in December 2019 against Turkish-backed opposition groups.
Misbar’s Analysis
However, Misbar’s investigation found that the picture itself is true, but the claim is not. The original photo was taken by photojournalist Hassan Mohammed for Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Douma, Damascus, in March 2018.
The picture still belongs to a child wounded by bombing, but at a different time and place.
