A claim is doing rounds on several Arab news websites and social media pages that India's hospitals were not receiving and treating Muslims diagnosed with the Coronavirus as part of a campaign of persecution and discrimination, including eviction from their homes and attacks on their mosques.

Based on Misbar’s investigation, we found the claim to be misleading. There is no evidence to support this claim. It was transmitted without mentioning specific sources or events. We searched in Arabic, English, and Hindi and found nothing.
However, the Indian government has been criticized for separating patients by religion at The Ahmedabad Civil Hospital in Gujarat, where they had separate wards for Hindu patients only and others for Muslims. Despite the authorities' denials, a hospital official confirmed that the separation was made for the convenience of Muslims and Hindus.
Gujarat witnessed sectarian violence in February, and recently, local media in India attacked Muslim groups and accused them of spreading the Coronavirus among the Hindu majority, leading to strong measures against Muslims.
