Netflix Not Spoiling Series for Quarantine-Breakers
The ads are not real, but are a proposed idea from a group of students (Twitter)

The Claim

Netflix will spoil the events of its series as punishment for those who violate quarantine.

Emerging story

ِA claim was doing rounds on several Twitter accounts that Netflix posted ads on street billboards revealing important events and the endings of some of its series. This was ostensibly done as punishment for those who are not committed to staying in their houses in quarantine, through what is known as "spoilers."

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar checked the claim and found it is false. The ads are not real, but are instead a proposed idea from a group of students at Miami Ad School to reduce people's presence on the streets.

The idea was not applied on the ground since it was rejected by Netflix, according to those who created the ads. Netflix, in turn, denied the claim in response to some of the accounts that posted it on Twitter.
