A video circulating on several Arabic social media sites in April claims to show U.S. Special Forces soldiers arriving in Kurdistan, northern Iraq.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s team investigated the claim and found it is misleading because it was trimmed from a longer video showing U.S. military troops arriving at Hamburg airport in Germany for the "DEFENDER-Europe 20" event as Ruptly reported on the 21st of February earlier this year.
Other scenes in the circulated video were from videos of the same event published on March 21. The Atlas Air logo, "Hamburg Airport," can be seen on a banner on the bus carrying soldiers.
