The picture does seem to depict Black Lives Matter protesters standing around a group of Muslims as they pray. Users on social media were quick to praise the photo. Twitter user @BaldYoongis wrote, “Check out Tameedah Islam’s video! #TikTok this brought tears to my eyes. People surrounded these Muslims so they could pray during a blm protest and I wish they would show this on the news but sadly it’ll never happen.” Another Twitter user, @JazmineSpirit, wrote, "#BlackLivesMattter. Non-Muslims surround Muslims so they can pray safely from the harm of NYPD during the #BlackLivesMatter #protest in Brooklyn, NY.” User @alisha_ejaz2 tweeted, “This is so beautiful and amazing Red heartRed heart The non muslim surround muslim so they can pray safely from the harm of the NYPD during a BLM protest in brooklyn New York #StrongerTogether #BlackLivesMatter.”

The video leading up to the snapshot shows hundreds of people forming a human wall to guard Muslims from the New York Police Department as they pray at the Black Lives Matter protest in Brooklyn on June 4, 2020. The non-Muslims surround the group of Muslims so that they can pray safely.
Further investigation through reverse image search engines proves that the photo is from a recent Black Lives Matter protest. Muslims kneeled in prayer following the three-hour, seven-mile march through Brooklyn. Non-Muslims linked arms to protect them.
