Several Arab social media accounts claimed that a group of protesters in the United States raised the picture of Muammar Gaddafi at the George Floyd demonstrations, expressing their love for Gaddafi and his wisdom.
The pictures were published via several Libyan accounts supporting former leader Gaddafi during the ongoing protests against the killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis.

The original photographs are not in the United States but were taken during a march in South Africa in 2011 for the ANC's student wing to demand jobs. Some of the protesters raised pictures of Gaddafi as a salute for the "anti-imperialist."
