On July 4, 2020, a Twitter user named Jimmy Maxwell Trump posted a birth certificate purporting to show that he was the child of President Donald Trump and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Jimmy Maxwell Trump had been posting on Twitter for several years, claiming to be a rogue senior White House advisor. In the week leading up to July 4, 2020, the account posted several messages saying that it would reveal its true identity on Independence Day. On July 4, the account claimed to be James Maxwell Trump, the illegitimate son of Ghislaine Maxwell and Donald Trump. It posted an image of what seems to be a birth certificate proving its claim.
Ghislaine Maxwell was recently arrested for her alleged involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s child sexual abuse ring.
Although he and Maxwell were photographed several times together, Trump and his constituents have long tried to deny his connection to her. While many netizens believed the announcement about James Maxwell Trump being Trump's and Maxwell's son due to this, others were skeptical.
Misbar’s investigation shows that conducting a reverse image search of the photo leads only to the Twitter post and reposts. Further, a jpeg inspection shows that the document was altered.
