Herman Cain was an American businessman, chair of the federal reserve bank of Kansas city, and 2012 presidential candidate for the Republican party. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2006, but made a full recovery.

Cain tested for positive for COVID-19 on June 29, 2020, and was hospitalized on July 1.
