News websites and social media users are spreading news that Lionel Messi sleeps on an antivirus mattress to protect himself.
Sports websites and pages claimed that Lionel Messi sleeps on an anti-coronavirus mattress coated with nanoparticles that destroy the virus. Spanish news claimed that Messi’s, his wife, and his three children also use the special mattress. The claim was shared with a photo of a bed from Tec Moon.

Misbar didn't find any evidence to support the circulating claims. Amid the pandemic, furniture companies have been trying to capitalize on the coronavirus through advertisement. The World Health Organization didn’t announce that a mattress from Tech Moon is going to prevent COVID-19. Our reverse image search for the picture of the mattress in the claim found that the picture is originally from November 15, 2019.
One of the users that was tweeting about the claim said Messi told the players that the mattress didn’t work.
