A video claiming that Putin's daughter gets the first COVID-19 vaccine is doing rounds on social media. On August 8, 2020, the Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian Defense Ministry has registered the first COVID vaccine in the world. Putin assured the efficacy of the vaccine by stating that one of his two daughters has received a shot of the vaccine in an announcement. 
A video garnered over 5,000 views.

CNBC Arabia and other news outlets also published the video on their official websites.

The girl in the circulating video is not Putin's daughter. According to Russia Today’s official website, the girl in the circulating video is a volunteer that took part in a clinical trial for a Russian COVID-19 vaccine in July.
Russia Today reported a two-phase trial was conducted by the Burdenko central military hospital in Moscow.
