Emerging story
Since Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris for his Vice Presidential candidate, social media posts have been circulating, pointing out many accusations regarding the candidates individually and their relationship. One of these has involved reposting headlines from during the Democratic Convention Debates, during which Kamala Harris said she “believed” the sexual harassment allegations levied against Biden in a particularly heated moment.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation into this claim reveals it to be false. While Harris did claim to believe Biden’s four accusers during her debates with him, after this accusation four more women came forward accusing him of raping and sexually assaulting them. However, Harris has not stated her belief on these cases, even when asked about them specifically. Once it became clear that Biden was to be the presidential nominee, no doubt there was little incentive to side against him, especially now that Harris has landed a place on his ticket.
