Fake Video: Police Officer Egged by Children

The video below depicts a police officer being egged by children in Kent, South East England.

In August 2020, users on social media, particularly in England, began sharing the video with a caption reading “Police gets Egged by a Bunch of out of Control Kids!!!” Many condemned the incident depicted in the video and called for more respect for police.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that the video is a prank. We contacted Kent police, who told us that no such incident had occurred. We also checked KentLive, a live update blog of the latest crimes and incidents. We found no evidence of police eggings there.
The watermark on the video is of Britain’s Most Wanted TV. On their Facebook page, they say that they “bring you funny videos to lighten up your day.”
Since there is no evidence that the incident actually took place, and the video creators' stated mission is to bring funny videos, we find that the video is fake.
