In mid-August, a video of migrants in the bus made rounds on social media. Social media users claimed the picture shows the people on a bus claiming they are the latest migrants taken into England. The post also complains that the people in the photo don’t appear to be practicing social distancing or wearing masks. The picture was shared hundreds of times between social media users.

Misbar’s investigation finds that the photo was not taken in England and is from several years ago, before the coronavirus outbreak.
The picture was first found in 2016.
The photo comes from a story in January 2016, when the mayor of Landshut in Bavaria, Germany put a number of migrants on a bus to Berlin in protest at Angela Merkel’s asylum policy.
The photo has nothing to do with England and COVID-19.
