Several Facebook posts shared thousands of times claims that Facebook is banning US President Donald Trump from advertising for his 2020 re-election campaign.

The claims are false. Misbar's investigation shows that Facebook removed certain posts for violating community standards but did not ban the campaign from purchasing ads.
The Facebook ad library shows that more than 5,000 results for “Issues, Election or Politics” ads from “Donald J. Trump.”
Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. has spent more than $68 million on election ads, with more than $4 million spent in the week ending August 25.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Facebook removed a couple of Trump’s campaign ads that violated policy on using hate symbols.
The content of the ads removed had included an inverted red triangle, a symbol that was used by the Nazis.
Trump continues to post on Facebook and purchases advertisements.
