Biden Wasn’t Asleep During Interview

The video below shows a sleeping Joe Biden on live air while a TV reporter tells him to “wake up, wake up.”

The video went viral in late August 2020. It was even tweeted by Trump’s deputy chief of staff for communications Dan Scavino.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that the video was digitally manipulated. We conducted a reverse image search using screenshots from the video and found that in the original 2011 video (below), the reporter addresses singer Harry Belafonte.
The original video of the reporter does not include the snoring noises in the manipulated video.
We also found the original video of the Biden clip (below).
The clip is from an April 2020 virtual town hall meeting on COVID-19. Although he does look down at his lap, Biden is not asleep in the video.
