The pictures below depict a Muslim man who killed his Hindu wife after their wedding.

In August and September 2020, social media users shared the pictures along with Islamophobic captions, including one that reads: “Love Jihaad always Ends at the deàth of Hindu Girl."
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that the caption to the pictures is false. We conducted a reverse image search of the first photo of the couple and found that it depicts a couple who got married in June 2020. We have chosen not to link to the couple’s social media pages for the sake of their privacy. The woman in the photo, Surabhi Chauhun, said: “A day after our wedding, our photographs surfaced on social media with many false claims including one which said that I have been murdered by my husband. These rumours are being circulated by members of the Bajrang Dal. We have reached out to police for help.”
Further, we conducted a reverse image search on the last photo, which ostensibly depicts the woman’s corpse, and found that it was taken from a July 2020 news article about the body of an unidentified woman found in Ghaziabad.
We spoke to the Ghaziabad police, who told us that of September 9, the woman’s body is still unidentified.
