As there are floods taking place in Sudan, social media users began circulating images claiming that the pictures show the floods currently taking place.
This picture has been shared along with other photos on Twitter and Facebook.
The pictures attracted thousands of users across the MENA region.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar's investigation found the circulating pictures old and not from the recent floods. The picture is actually in Sudan but shows floods that occurred in 2016. 
According to Flood List, flooding in Sudan has affected over 180,000 people across 17 states, with over 40 fatalities reported. Recent flooding began in the country after heavy rainfall in late July. The damage was reported in parts of Khartoum and a dam collapsed in Blue Nile state.
