Misbar’s Analysis

The Misbar team has determined that this claim is false. We conducted extensive research on Barrett’s background and found no such evidence of her having made such a statement.

Barrett, who currently sits as a conservative judge on the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, is a devout Catholic. The claim likely originates from opinions about the Christian group People of Praise, of which Barrett has ties to, who claim that men are divinely ordained as the "head" of the family and faith.
