Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar’s investigation determined that this claim is true. On October 1, 2020, multiple social media users posted screenshots of a fundraising email from President Trump’s reelection campaign, which read: “We just went over the list of supporters who helped us CRUSH our September End-of-Quarter Goal and we noticed that YOUR NAME was MISSING from the donor list… You have always been a steadfast supporter of President Trump and Vice President Pence, so we were surprised to see that you neglected to help us reach our goal.”

The email’s subject line was “September 31st,” a date that does not exist. The email can be found on the Archive for Political Emails.

Following the incorrectly dated email, the campaign sent out another email with a new subject line, reading: “Time is running out.” The new email made no mention of the gaffe.
