In early October 2020, an image has been widely circulating on Facebook claiming that Joe Biden is violating social distancing guidelines and not wearing a mask at a recent event.
Users also claimed that the group wears shirts with the “Make America Great Again” slogan from President Donald Trump’s campaign.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar's investigation found that the photo actually comes from July 2019. Social distancing guidelines were introduced in March 2020. The picture in the circulating claim appears to be a cropped version of a photo Biden tweeted from the National Education Association’s (NEA) 2019 annual meeting.
