As usual, Apple's unveiling of its new iPhones gets a lot of attention on social media. News circulating that the new iPhone won’t come with earphones and a charging adapter.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar followed the iPhone unveiling presentation and found the circulating news true. Apple says it is removing those accessories to lessen iPhone packaging, reduce carbon emissions, and cut back on the mining and use of materials used to make these items.
By scything the charger and headphones from the product box, Apple says it will cut over 2 million metric tons of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to removing nearly 450,000 cars from the road per year.
However, iPhones will come with a new Lightning power cable that connects to any USB-C power adapter.
