The image went viral in October 2020. It was shared by many, including President Donald Trump’s son Eric. He has since deleted the post.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar conducted a reverse image search and found that the picture has been manipulated. The original image was tweeted by Ice Cube on July 6, 2020. In that image, Ice Cube wears a hat reading BIG3, and 50 Cent wears a Yankees hat.
The image likely took off since Ice Cube recently appeared on CNN to discuss his collaboration with the Trump administration. He said that he does not play political games but supports black Americans. 50 Cent also condemned Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s tax plan.
However, the image of them wearing Trump hats while sitting together is fake.
