Amid the ongoing rage by Muslims on social media against France, a video of a woman being attacked goes viral. Social media users shared a 19-second video clip of a man attacking a woman claiming the video is in France.

Misbar's investigation finds that the circulating 19-second clip is not in France nor related to the latest incident.
The viral video occurred in a children’s park in Nizhnekamsk city in the Republic of Tatarstan. Our reverse image search found that the video has been online since July 2020. A man who was later arrested also attacked five other women including this pregnant lady. He told police the motive for the attacks was his hatred of women.
Earlier this month teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded in a Paris suburb after showing controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to some of his pupils.
A lot of misinformation has been circulating online as Macron’s comments stirred anger across the Muslim world.
