Misbar's image reverse search found that the circulating picture is online since 2018. The picture was uploaded on Getty Images on September 25, 2020, during the annual United Nations General Assembly in New York City. The picture has been credited to photographer Ludovic Marin from AFP.
On this same day, the Republic of Turkey Directorate of Communications on September 26, 2018, uploaded a clip of the handshake as well.
