On November 23, 2020, YourNewsWire.com published the article, “George Soros Arrested in Philadelphia For Election Interference – Judge Orders Media Blackout.” This article added to a November 14, 2020 article by The Conservative Beaver saying that Soros was accused of election interference.
The claim soon went viral on social media.

Misbar’s investigation found that the claim is false. YourNewsWire (previously NewsPunch, which we have written on before) is not a legitimate news site.
We scoured arrest records for election interference in the U.S. and found none implicating Soros.
Further, the article making the claim includes a screenshot of the alleged arrest record.
We conducted a reverse image search of the indictment and found it was actually regarding six Russian hackers. The indictment was digitally manipulated to make it appear as though it is about Soros.
