Time magazine published a cover depicting former President Barack Obama with the headline “Treason.”

A video making the claim and several others was posted on November 22, 2020. It was shared over 2,000 times.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that the cover has been digitally manipulated. We looked in the Time cover archives and found no such image of the former president.
Further, other parts of the video are also incorrect. It includes several images of prominent Democrats posting with Osama bin Laden, which are fake. It also brings up the fake birther conspiracy theory about Obama.
Based on certain phrases and imagery in the video, it appears to be part of the QAnon conspiracy theory web.
