The claim went viral in December 2020.
One social media user even posted the claim in response to a Misbar article about the Obamas producing a comedy series on Netflix.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation shows that the claim is unfounded. Barack and Michelle Obama appear to be live, well, and uncloned.
Barack Obama is active on social media. He tweeted about the U.S. Senate runoff elections in Georgia on December 29, 2020. Further, he publicly supported his former Vice President, President-Elect Joe Biden, in Biden's run for president. On October 27, 2020, he campaigned for Biden in Orlando, Florida.
He also released the memoir A Promised Land on November 17, 2020. It seems highly unlikely that another person could have written a personal memoir for him, between the challenges of matching his prose and knowing intimate details of his life.
On November 24, 2020, Barack appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Michelle Obama is also active on social media. Her last Twitter post, on December 28, 2020, similarly regards Georgia Senate voting. In December 2020, Michelle bought artwork by Valentino Dixon, a wrongfully convicted man. She was also named the most admired woman in America in a recent Gallup poll, which only applies to women who are alive.
On December 28, 2020, the couple were spotted vacationing in Hawaii.
Misbar did discover a book called The Seven Clones of Barack Obama, written by occultist Bensa Magos, but the likelihood of either Obama being cloned seems highly unlikely. The book was self-published and is listed as "Science Fiction and Fantasy" on all major book retail sites.
The technology to clone humans has been available for nearly a decade, but as of yet there is no proof of human cloning. Further, a clone is born as an infant and ages normally. If Barack and Michelle Obama were cloned, they would have had to be cloned as infants for the clones to masquerade as them. Cloning was first considered successful in 1996, when Dolly the sheep was the first mammal cloned from an adult somatic cell. Since Barack was born in 1961 and Michelle in 1964, they could not have been cloned at birth because the technology was not yet available. If they were cloned, their clones would appear to be at least 30 years younger than the Obamas, something that the public would likely notice.
